This 3,200 SF residence has been redesigned to create the feel of 1920s New York with extensively  researched and recreated details. The design concept merged the sentiments of history with the contemporary needs of a modern Upper East Side family: expanding the kitchen, creating a formal banquette, introducing a viewing den, integrating a central AC system into the coffer ceiling, and exposing the original high ceilings intrinsic to the apartment.  

 

The finishing and expansion of all the bathrooms yielded more contemporary comforts while the addition of a powder room adjacent to the public areas of the apartment gave a sense of luxury and provided privacy for the private wing.
