This dated 1,000 sf 2 BD/2 BR Upper East Side apartment with an unutilized private 650 sf outdoor space proved to be a design challenge in order to maximize the layout possibilities and outdoor amenities intrinsic to the property.  Our design concept called for a demolition of the back façade in order to create storefront windows to merge the indoor/outdoor experience and views. The interiors concept included creation of an open kitchen layout along with the exposure of the original brick in the living room, new vision for the finishes in the apartment, and a new way for a formal foyer entry that allows for a complete transformation of the way one experiences the apartment and highlights the views and the access to the private garden.
