East 72nd Street
The design concept for this Upper East Side residence transformed a disorganized layout and dated finishes into a chic and functional interior space for an international client. The existing layout was redesigned creating a formal entry foyer with a powder room and a living/study space able to have dual functionality via oversized pocket doors. Allowing for an open layout or a closed private space, this created versitility for the various needs of the client.
The kitchen was expanded to include a breakfast nook and a larger cooking area that opens up to the dining room. Warm wide-plank wood floors were introduced along with the sleek and contemporary bathroom finishes, walnut finished radiator covers and wall panels in order to create a contemporary, yet warm environment for this living space.
