Waterworks Pavilion
The design concept for the Biscayne Park pavilion in Miami proposes a new actively programmed building envelope draped over the existing water treatment facility using its roof as the connective tissue between the museum park and the bay. The morphology and geometry of the proposed envelope enables a series of recreational water activities and serves as the park’s extension. The proposed activities generated by the building’s form include a water slide and wading pool, rock garden with misting fountains, and urban plazas with amphitheater steps as well as an eco-smart swimming pool.
